Rana: The Legend of Shadow Lake (1980): Frogman Seems Forever
The story so far: Three friends are trapped in an underground movie rental store managed by a magical anthropomorphic mole man, have adventures, and watch movies to pass the time and figure ways out of predicaments.
While Eric is off on a journey of reflection and relaxation, Greg worries that the underground could be filled with more monstrous creatures like Moleman! To help ease our minds and get ready for potential monster attacks, we check out the Frogman monster flick from 1980, Rana: The Legend of Shadow Lake, directed by Blood Harvest's own Bill Rebane! While discussing the similarities of the two films, we dive into life's real existential questions: Do frogs have bones? Can chickens swim? Does Bigfoot have a tickle kink? And are aliens cryptids?
