Stabby Stabby

Serial Mom (1994): Swimming through suburban Waters

Greg, Eric and Dan Episode 221

The story so far: Things in the movie hole drag on. Maybe it's the movies (or maybe it's the body odor and beer) but Dan is starting to snap.

They create life. Sometimes, they take it away. This week's episode is all about moms and how they can be serial killers sometimes! The boys break down John Waters' 1994 classic satire Serial Mom. Between the movie's kills, awkward sex, white-picket-fence setting, and  constant references to classic gore films, the boys get distracted talking about prank phone calls, glory holes, whether or not the glossy sheen of wealthy suburban life is a smokescreen hiding a deeply-rooted violent rage at an ill-defined 'outsider' class that only exists as a way to define itself by comparison, and how men can protect themselves while they're peeing.
